The Heroines

Emilie Deering-Hohl

is honored with a Brick from Jan and Bert Deering.

Emilie Ann Deering-Hohl was born on December 20, 1968, the best Christmas present we've ever received! From the first moment we saw her, we knew she was going to be a very special daughter and influence in our lives. And we have not been disappointed! Throughout her life she has been a creative, sunny dispositioned person who has the uncanny knack of adapting well and making the very best of any situation or circumstances that life gives her. That unique quality "rubs off" on all who encounter her. Her positive attitude and sense of humor set her far apart from the norm.

As a child, we sometimes worried that she was such a "risk taker" - no task nor sport nor competition was too great for her. Soon we observed that if she won, she congratulated others. If she lost, she picked herself up and moved on, growing all the time from the experience. As an adult, she has benefited from these experiences by remembering the personal growth gained and using it to further her relationships both in her personal and professional life.

She is persistent. When she sets a goal or dreams a dream, she takes responsibility for its fulfillment. She is dependable. She respects those who "count on her" and follows through fulfilling more than their expectations. She goes the extra mile. Her willingness to help others and her sensitivity to the needs of others is enviable.

She is a caring and adoring mother to her son, Jordan. Her love for her family and her friends is unconditional and inspiring. She is, and always will be, a very special person and a heroine to her parents who love her very much, and who take great pride and pleasure in honoring her on this Mother's Day, 1998.
