Linda F. Christensen PhD

Linda F. Christensen was born on May 19, 1951 in Washington, Missouri. She grew up in Washington, living on her parents' farm. When she graduated from high school, she was valedictorian of her class at Washington High School. Linda went on to the University of Missouri where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a major in accountancy. Later, she became a Certified Public Accountant.

During her corporate career, Linda worked for Welcome Wagon, Terminix, Conwood Corporation, Schering-Plough Corporation, and First Tennessee National Corporation. At Schering-Plough, she was the manager of international financial systems and traveled the world as part of her duties. At First Tennessee National, she was the vice president for financial systems.

While working, Linda completed her master of business administration degree from the University of Memphis. In 1985, she enrolled as a Ph.D. student at the University of South Carolina. In 1989, she completed her Ph.D. degree while an assistant professor of accountancy at Wichita State University. Later, Linda was promoted to associate professor and granted tenure at WSU. She is a highly-respected teacher and a first-rate scholar who has published numerous articles.

Through it all, Linda has been a wonderful, loving wife to her husband, Donald G. Christensen, Ph.D., an associate professor of finance and director of graduate studies in business at WSU. She is also the mother of Brett and Tiffany Christensen.

As a wife, mother, teacher and scholar, Linda is completely outstanding in every way. She is a blessing to all who know her and loved very deeply by her husband, her children, her other family members, and her many friends. She is truly a heroine who touched the lives of many and all for the better.
