Since graduating from college, Dr. Lori Reesor has been a very involved and dedicated faculty and staff member in higher education. Lori graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater in 1984 with a degree in Business Management. After graduation she worked as a sales representative for Proctor and Gamble and moved to Iowa. However, she missed higher education and left the corporate world to begin her master's degree at Iowa State University. While working on her degree, Lori worked for the University in the Women's Center, as an academic advisor, and a financial aid officer. She completed her master's degree in Higher Education in 1987. After graduating, Lori began work at the Uiversity of Knasas. While at KU, she held a number of positions in the areas of sutdent housing, enrollment services, new student orientation, and admissions. She also served on numerous campus committees. While working full-time, Lori earned her Ph. D. in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Kansas in 1995.

In 1997, Lori was hired as the new Dean of Students at Wichita State University. While at WSU, Lori worked to create a better student life and provide opportunities for student development by focusing on campus leadership. She oversaw the operations in Housing and Residence Life, the Child Development Center, Student Development and Multicultural Affairs, Disability Services, Career Services, and the Heskett Recreation Center. She served on numerous capus committees. She was the advisor to the Student Government Assocaiton and Mortar Board during her tenure at WSU. She also worked to improve campus leadership by implementing new programs designed to focus on students. Her success defintely made an impact at Wichita State University.

Lori was an active member in her professional organization, National Assocaition of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), and served in a number of leadership capacities. In 1998 she was elected as the Regional Vice President, which required her to lead the reginal activities as well as serve on the national NASPA Board of Directors. Lori was awarded the Dorothy Miller Award for Outstanding Contribution to WSU Greek Suystem, Outstanding Woman Staff Member Honoree at the Univeristy of Kansas, and recognized as an Outstanding Young Alumna at the Iowa State University. Lri was also involved in the Junior League of Wichita and an active member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. In 2001 Lori got married to John Miller and accepted a position as the Assistenat Dean in the School of Edcutaion at the University of Missouri -- Kanasas City.

"Dr. Reesor is a true heroine. As she has done for many, she has helped me develop both professionally and personally. She has had a very positive impact on my life. She reads people well. Whether it be through a serious conversation or by way of butt-spelling, she has a way of making you laugh and making everthing seem alright. I hpe to, someday, follow in her footsteps."
