 Glendora Henson
Glendora Eicker Henson was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on December 23, 1910 and married Arnold Henson in 1929. Her husband's purchase of a business precipitated their move to Wichita in 1945 and presented Glendora with her own business opportunity. Together with Ruth McClymonds, Glendora owned and operated Remembrance Flower Shop in Prairie Village Center at the corner of 13th and Woodlawn. "It was a wonderful location." Glendora loved being a businesswoman and loved being a florist. "There was something going on every minute." Glendora and Ruth worked together for 35 years and, though retired now, they still are the best of friends.

A home and family have been an important part of Glendora's life. She and Arnold raised a daughter, Sharon Buller, and today enjoy their grandchildren, Jimmy Buller and Karen Caye, and three great grandchildren. Glendora also has been an active member of the First Presbyterian Church where she has devoted thousands of hours volunteering in Economy Corner, the church's thrift shop.

By every measure, Glendora has had a full and fulfilling life, bringing much beauty and joy to her family and the community.
