Mary Oliver LeMaster

Mary Oliver LeMaster, was born Mary Katherine Mitchell, in Bolckow, Missouri on March 11,1922. She was one of the four children of Cleo and Nellie Mitchell. She attended high school at Bolckow Consolidated No. 3, where she graduated from in 1940.

Deciding upon a career as a cosmetologist, she enrolled at Caster's Beauty Academy, in St. Joseph, Missouri where she graduated in 1946 as a state-licensed cosmetologist. While working as a cosmetologist in St. Joe, she met Erman Oliver. They were married and moved to Wichita, Kansas. She continued her career in cosmetology and raised two children, Lawrence E. Oliver and Debbie D. Oliver-Tackett. Her daughter Debbie gave her two grandchildren, Denise and Jason Tackett.

After Erman's death in 1973, she married Edmond LeMaster, and after Edmonds death in 1978, she remained single for her remaining years.

As a very dedicated cosmetologist, she worked almost 35 years at "Ethel Franklin", later renamed as "Hair-by-Lynn". In 1997, at the age of 74, she retired from her cosmetology career and on February 13, 1998, on to her new life in the next world.

She will always be remembered as a woman who always strived to do what was right. She never let any problem or difficulty, no matter how severe, stop her from carrying on with her life. If another human being needed help, she would always be there for them. Nothing could keep her down, or stop her from living the right way.

She was a great example of what great good a willing person can do with their life, if they are determined. She will be missed in this world, missed but never forgotten.
